OKC has a century old tradition of producing knives for professionals and a proven track-record in their field for delivering quality products well designed for their intended purposes, be it soldiering, survival or special utility.

The beginnings of the Ontario Knife Company was started in 1889 and has a colourful and chequered past.
The company finally closed its doors on August 1, 2023, with the OKC company being acquired by Blue Ridge Knives, Inc and relocated to Virginia.
The company has historically supplied the U.S. military with products such as:

- Model 498 Marine Combat Knife, Ontario's version of the original Ka-Bar

OKC's "Randall's Adventure & Training" survival knives were designed in conjunction with "Randalls Adventure and Training". An outdoor survival training and expedition company.
