Puma Knife: Very Rare Puma 6382 Original 1980 Trail Guide with Jacaranda Wood Handle
This a very rare original PUMA Trail Guide Model 6382 with genuine Jacaranda handle.
Model 11 6382 in good solid condition in custom light tan coloured leather sheath.
*See full description and detailed images which form part of the description.
Model Number 11 6382 with date stamp of 14081 being made in the 1st Qtr of 1980 and is now 45 years old.
This came from a collection from the Puma Australia WA Salesmans samples from the 1970's and 1980's.
We have never seen a Jacaranda Handled model in the 20 years we have been trading and there seems to be no information on the internet for this rarer model
As you can see, Australia's humid conditions have not bode so well for this knife and although it is completely unused and untouched, it has some pitting on the blade as can be seen in the images.
It is made with the famous Pumaster High Carbon Steel and the markings are still on the blade as is the number.
These knives normally only come up with a Stag Antler Handle and by our Puma experts, the wooden handle is quite rare and in mint condition would fetch over $2000.
Overall length is 23cm with an original High Carbon Steel upswept blade of 12.5cm.
BLADE READS: 6382 HANDMADE PUMA TRAIL-GUIDE GENUINE PUMASTER STEEL GERMANY
Full tang. Built-in finger guard. Lanyard hole. Handmade in Solingen, Germany.
All the writing is on the blade but is hard to read due to the tarnish
We would put this knife at around 95%+ overall condition for the knife with no other marks, chips etc but this view is of course Excluding the tarnish marks which is for you to assess.
We have left this in untouched condition and with some care and attention, some of the tarnish may be able to be removed.
A NICE VERY HARD TO GET RARITY TO ADD TO THE COLLECTION
The final two images show the Hunters Companion which we have in stock on the website and we also have the Puma SGB Trail Guide Knives in Stock
