Puma Knife: Puma Circa 1980's Original Model 17 Medium Scout/Hunter Knife with Sambar Handle and Original Sheath
Original Puma *9117 Scout/Hunter knife in original Puma Tan Brown Leather Sheath.

In almost mint (99%) original and unused condition.
Overall length is approx: 20cm (8"), with original Stainless steel. 10.5cm (4 1/4" blade).
Brass finger guard. Handmade in Solingen with PUMA GERMANY stamped on the base of the blade.
These Hunter/Scout knives are hard to date as none have dates on them but we believe it to be Circa : early 1980's
No cracks or chips in the blade.
The Sheath is in mint condition and is a Tan Brown with the Puma Emblem on the front and SOLINGEN WESTERN GERMANY also stamped on the sheath
The Stag Handle is a full one piece dark Stag with a slight swell to the hand side and it fits nicely in both left and right handside. Finely figured and gives a real character to the knife.
No rust or pitting and the Pommel is in good unmarked condition. I would give the knife a rating of around 99+% original condition.
This is an excellent example of the popular older and hard to find 11 9117* Hunter/Scout Knife and at around the 40+ years old and with the character handle would be an excellent addition to any Puma collection

*The model was quoted as being the Puma Scout Hunter Number 17 but we are not sure if this is the correct model number and stand corrected if incorrect.
