Absolutely stunning custom hand made Mirror Finish Bowie knife by the famous Australian Knife maker John Stapleton from South Australia.

John was born in November 1948 in Adelaide South Australia and was instrumental in bringing knife making to the forefront of the Australian Knife Collector and some of his work is shown in the National Gallery of Victoria.

Beautiful Coffin Handled Bowie with 8 pins with a Nickel Silver Guard.

This knife has a beautful mirror finish blade with a Bowie blade and is a true work of art.

It has a beautiful Northern Australia Water Buffalo handle with a Nickel Silver guard and 'S' '51' stamped in to the hilt of the blade.
The handles are shaped by hand and every knife by this maker varies in design, which makes every knife unique.
Custom black leather sheath is custom formed and shaped for each knife, and this one has its original paperwork with information on John Stapleton and general information on the knives.

A true one of a kind knife we think made between the mid 70's to 80's and a very rare collectible by the Australian Knife Maker John Stapleton.

With the numbers 51 stamped in to the blade we can only assume that this knife was his 51st model and it is a true work of art and quality knife.
