Puma Rare model 970 PLANTER 1970 Folding Lock Knife in box Serial Number 33073

This is a very rare PLANTER folding knife in a Green and Yellow Plastic Box

Serial No. 33073 Which means it was made in the 3rd Qtr of 1970

As far as we can find out the 970 PLANTER model was only produced in the first part of 1970 before the name of the knife was changed to the GAME WARDEN.
Stamped on one side of the blade:

970 PUMA-PLANTER NEW STAINLESS SUPER KEEN CUTTING STEEL & PUMA GERMANY stamped near the base of the blade
Condition : Almost mint in Box. Some slight age marks as seen in images.Never Carried.

It looks as if it could have been very lightly sharpened at some stage but there do not seem to be any other marks and the sharpening is very very light.

I believe the handle is made from either Jacaranda or Rosewood.

Never Carried.
Made by Puma Germany in 1970.

A very rare knife with the Game Warden becoming popular at the time and after many years of not producing this knife, Puma have now started producing some of their most popular models and here is one of them.
