This is a rare 1987 Hoffritz Game Warden Model 970 folding knife in the original and Green and Yellow Plastic Box with correct label and original rare paperwork pertaining to the Game Warden and matching warranty card and original Puma cardboard sleeve

Excellent almost mint unused condition at around 99%, Game Warden from 1987. (Now 39 years old with just a few minor age marks)
Serial No. 43782 Which means it was made in the 2nd Half of 1987
Stamped on one side of the blade:
220 970 HANDMADE PUMA GAME WARDEN GERMANY STAINLESS and HOFFRITZ etched on the other side of the blade.
Condition : Almost mint condition in original Green and Yellow Plastic Box with Puma product info pamphlet and correct matching warranty card.
It is in almost untouched condition with lovely Dark Jacaranda handle and it maintains its original factory edge.
Never Carried or used.
Made by Puma Germany in 1987.
The box is the original Green and Yellow Plastic Box with the correct model number.
The original paperwork pertains to the Game Warden knife and it also has original correct matching number warranty card
Now a rarer sought after knife with the Game Warden becoming popular at this time and it is still one of the most sought after folding knives in the Puma range

'T Hoffritz' was a high-end New York based retailer that was probably at the height of their popularity in the 1950's and 1960's. They imported knives (among many other things) that were made by quality makers throughout the world. Many of their knives were made in Solingen, Germany by some of Solingen's top makers. Later Hoffritz knives were made in the U.S., Japan, Italy, etc. Hoffritz generally offered knives from the finest makers regardless of their origin and they were nearly always of outstanding quality. In fact, The Standard Knife Collectors Guide states that Hoffritz collectors know that whether from Germany, France, Italy, or Japan, Hoffritz knives are no less than top quality. The Guide also notes that while Hoffritz imported from many countries, they always seemed to select the best from every nation and they rate the Hoffritz knives as having a collectibility rating of "Very High". Hoffritz also offered limited numbers of unique knives from well-known custom makers. This is the first Puma knife I've seen from Hoffritz. By the late 1980's Hoffritz had been reduced to just a few stores. Their credit and bankruptcy situation also had a large impact on what they could order from suppliers. Hoffritz' Puma offerings had to have been short-lived and very few in number. It seems as though most were offered from the mid 1970's to 1992,
