Puma Rare Model 970 Game Warden 1974 Folding Lock Knife Serial # 98474

This is a 'VERY LIGHTLY USED' Game Warden Model 970 Lock Blade folding knife with a rarer Rosewood Handle.

(The Puma Plainsman was first made in 1965 and Changed the name in late 1969. Puma changed the name to "Game Warden" with the same model number, 970)

This is a 1974 Game Warden 

Serial No. 98474 Which means it was made in the 4th Qtr of 1974 and is currently 50 years old and excellent very lightly touched condition

Stamped on one side of the blade:

970 PUMA-GAME-WARDEN NEW STAINLESS SUPER KEEN CUTTING STEEL HANDMADE GERMANY

Condition : Excellent for age with some very light & slight age marks as seen in images and it has been very lightly sharpened with a little bit of wobble when open.

Good snap, good very lightly sharpened blade, excellent nicely grained Rosewood handle.

The wood handle on this knife is made from beautiful darker Rosewood where as most models were made with Jacaranda Handles.
Made by Puma Germany in 1974.

A very rare knife with both the Plainsman and Game Warden becoming very popular.
