Blades have never been sharpened, knife has never been outside and is a perfect example of the rare Big 5 Stockman knife in original condition. 

Background to the African Big Game Knife set.

These were made by Puma Solingen Germany for SMKW (SMOKY MOUNTAIN KNIFE WORKS)

 in the USA by Puma back in the late 90's.

You ordered the knife then Puma made them individually to order.

Each knife has an etch of each of the big five animals in Africa and it took almost a year to get all Five of the knives made & sent out.

The knives have the following animals etched in to the largest of the three knife blade and the model is the Stockman knife with a Red Bone handle. Each knife has an individual Animal.

Cape Bufallo

Lion

The 5 knife set features one for each of the big five. The set includes: African Cape buffalo, African Leopard, African Lion, African Elephant, African Rhino with the BIG FIVE stamped on the blade and Puma Germany on the main blade. 

These are very rare and it is even rarer to find all 5 in the set from about 28 years ago in original condition.

This LION model is new, but an older model and therefore we have put it in the category of Vintage and Collectable.
Some of the knives in this category may have blemishes and marks from time, storage, minor sharpening and handling etc.
Be assured, most are very rare and all are collectable

Made in the 90's

4" large 3 blade Stockman Knife. 3" hot dropped forged stainless spear point blade and 2-1/4" spey blade and 2" sheepfoot blade. Genuine red bone handle with nickel silver bolsters and inlay shield. Handmade in Germany.

These knives are getting rarer and this one is almost mint condition.
