Puma Knife: Puma 1991 Original 998 Bird Hunter Knife with Puma Box #47192
Puma 998 BIRD HUNTER Pocket Knife. Model 998. With lovely figured Jacaranda handle in an original Puma green and yellow plastic box with and original cardboard trade sleeve.
Model 998 and date code 47192 which denotes it was made in the 2nd Half of 1991
Now very rare and very collectable.
In excellent unused and almost mint condition. Jacaranda handles are tight and no cracks etc.
Blades close crisply, are unused and unsharpened. In fantastic condition for age.
Overall length approx 18cm with an 8cm drop point blade and 8cm bird gutting hook.
Genuine Jacaranda hard wood handle with both sides in matching nicely figured wood with nickel silver bolsters and inlay shield. Handmade in Germany.
Main blade says : HANDMADE 998 PUMA BIRD HUNTER NEW STAINLESS SUPER KEEN CUTTING STEEL with PUMA GERMANY on the hilt of the blade.
The other side of the blade reads :STAINLESS. Number is stamped on inside of Brass liner
This model was discontinued many years ago by Puma Germany and is very collectable.
