Puma Knife: 2004 Puma Rüdemann II with Stag Handle in Original Sheath & Custom Wooden Box
Now this is a Big Knife and an absolute beauty and very collectable in this condition and we have only ever come across a couple of these and this is it when it comes to the best example and we will probably not see too many of these in this condition in the future.

It cost a pretty penny when it was made and cost us a pretty penny when we purchased it but what a great example.
99.5% Mint condition 2004 Rüdemann II with genuine Stag Antler handle, original leather sheath and a custom wooden Dovetailed box with Puma Motif on the top all in 99%+ mint condition.
This knife is 20 years old and is in almost mint condition and would be best described as a 99.5% original knife in fantastic collectable condition.
The knife has never been used or sharpened and is almost like new with a good edge and no chips etc in the blade. It has just a few very minor surface scratches which are very hard to see and would probably polish out and just a few age marks on the sheath where the knife goes in and the wooden box is in excellent condition and is foam lined with the sheath sitting in one section and the knife sitting on top of another piece of foam.
Stamped on the blade is: The PUMA logo and 113584 PUMA RüDMANN II SOLINGEN GERMANY 104RC (Which means it was manufactured in the 1st Half of 2004)
The beautiful Sambar Antler handle is very thick and in perfect shape
The leather sheath is in excellent condition with Puma stamped on the sheath and in great shape with the main fastening stud nice and shiny with just a few age marks.
The box is in unmarked condition, hinges and clasp are perfect and it has a Puma motif on the top of the box.
A fine and almost mint example of an original Rüdemann II 20+ year old Knife
PUMA Rüdemann II model number is 11 3584. This knife is part of the PUMA Side Arms range. 2004 Hunting Side Arms PUMA Rüdemann Knife with Stag handles. The guarantee control tag date stamp is 104. This knife was made in the 1st half of 2004.
The Rüdemann is one of the four hunting side arms made by PUMA Werks. The name Rüdemann is old German word for “Dog Man”. PUMA developed this knife in collaboration with the Blood Hound Association Leader Tassius. “Schweisshundfuhrer” means “bloodhound leader/handler.
The Rüdemann was designed as very practical heavy blade that could easily cut through branches and small trees in the woods. In 1979 the DJV (German Hunting Protection Association) ordered a special model in a limited edition of 30 from PUMA on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the association. These knives were given a dark green sheath with a deep DJV embossing and a large silver bandage needle, which was placed next to the knife in the foam.
In 1999 which was the 50th anniversary of the DJV association, the DJV commissioned a special series of Rüdeman II in an edition of 250 from PUMA. PUMA did not make the entire 250 knives. The limited Rüdemann II from the DJV got the same sheath as in the earlier edition and a nice wooden box. A DJV inlay was also placed in the handle as a special feature.
PUMA made the Rüdemann 3584 was made until 1995. In 1999 - 2010 there was a new model, the Rüdemann II and at the beginning of 2015 the "Rüdemann 40" was made with Black Micarta or Stag handles.
This is a super duty knife and was designed for heavy work such as clearing brush and clearing brush while hunting. PUMA made four hunting side arms: Nimrod, Rudemann, Hirschfänger (Cutlass), and Waidblatt.
This knife measures 11 1/2" overall with a 6 3/4" blade.
The knife includes the "PUMA Proof Mark" on the blade: a small dot or ping on each blade was made with a diamond pointed needle, part of the Rockwell blade quality testing. The knife also comes with the Rockwell sticker. It has a 6 3/4" German Stainless steel blade and is 11 1/2" overall length.
