Kizlyar Knife: Kizlyar Original Sterkh-2 Plain Edge Blade
Brand new, unsharpened and unused, this is one of the beautiful original Russian hand made Kizlyar knives that first came in to the country about 10-12 years ago.
Beautiful design and construction this hand made knife is an absolute beauty.
Hand made in Russia, this Kizlyar knife is a beautiful knife ideal for hunting and skinning. Full tang with an overall length of 10 1/2" and a Z50 hollow ground steel blade length of 5.5". The handle is made from Caucasian Walnut. Comes with a beautifully hand-made black rivetted leather sheath.
The blade is made of Z60 hollow ground steel with a Rockwell hardness of 55-57 which is an ideal hardness for skinning and hunting knives. Highly prized metal like Molybdenum is added to steel to improve its rust-resistant quality.
The 5" handle is made from Caucasian Walnut and is both epoxy-fastened and held in place by two solid brass retaining pins. The handle has an unsealed natural finish for a better grip.
As with all Kizlyer knives, they are beautifully finished and extremely sharp and hold a good edge. Comes with a solid hand-made black rivetted and stitched leather sheath with a retaining strap that goes around the knife handle to keep the knife firmly secure. This sheath was custom-made to fit the model of this knife perfectly.
This is the original design and hence has the laser etching.
