This is an older knife made around the 1990's and we are listing this one due to its rarity.

It was manufactured by United Cutlery in the USA under licence by the Colt Firearms Brand.

(United Cutlery is famous for its Gil Hibbern knives, Fantasy and movie knives)

It is a rare discontinued model knife and highly sought after in the USA.

This one has not been used but does have some scratches, on the blade with a few more one side of the blade than the other which can be seen in the detailed images. It is in excellent condition for a knife that is around 36 years old and razor sharp.

Stamped on the blade is: Colt USA and on the other side is: CT3 Stainless Steel.

Colt CT-3 Hunter Details:

Colt Knives:

• Production History: Colt knives were produced under license by companies like United Cutlery and later Smoky Mountain Knife Works (SMKW) before the line was discontinued around January 2016.
• Value: These are considered collectible, with older, USA-made models (like the CT-3) being rarer than later imports. 
• Colt pocket knives were created for Colt under license. Colt's entry into the knife market lasted only four years, from 1969 to 1973. Then made under licence by other manufacturers.
• Colt filed for bankruptcy in 2015. The court approved Colt’s reorganization plan in January of 2016, and they will continue making guns. They won’t, however, continue making knives under their current licensing deals, and according to a source close to Colt, there is no plan to start making knives again.
