Ka-Bar Knives were originally made for the United States Marine Corp ("USMC"), but were not only adopted by the Marines but also the army, navy, coastal guards and underwater demolition teams.

This knife is a full-size plain-edge KA-BAR with matching hard sheath.

Overall length is 12", with a 7" black epoxy powder coated carbon steel blade. The 7" blade is made from 1095 carbon steel and is black epoxy powder coated to be non-reflective and is easily sharpened in the field. Its oval shaped black coloured Kraton G handle is lightly textured for a secure non-slip grip.

The hard SGF sheath locks the knife in place and is constructed out of a tough reinforced glass filled nylon which provides a hard surface to protect during rough use. It is resistant to impact, corrosion, and abrasion. The sheath's all-weather performance also makes it impervious to most chemicals, petroleum-based products, and moisture, including salt water.

Together with its several lashing ports and knife lock in, it provides multiple tie-down and mounting options, including upside down in a shoulder area or strapped to a LBV, or BA vest.
