Puma Rare Model 972 Game Warden 1974 Twin Blade Folding Lock Knife with Box #45471
This is a very rare Game Warden Model 972 Twin Blade folding knife.
The 970 is the Standard single blade Game Warden.
The 971 is the Game Warden with Std Blade and Saw Blade.
The 972 is rarer of the three with the standard blade and an additional upswept blade.
Serial No. 45471 Which means it was made in the 1st Qtr of 1974.
This one is a real beauty as it has its original Green and Yellow Puma box with correct number and label, the correct matching warranty card and Puma sharpening instruction and Puma cardboard sleeve. (few marks on the sleeve and box)
As far as we can find out the 972 model was only produced for a short period of time in the 1970's
Stamped on one side of the main blade is:
972 PUMA-GAME-WARDEN NEW STAINLESS SUPER KEEN CUTTING STEEL HANDMADE GERMANY & STAINLESS stamped near the base of the other blade
Condition : Almost mint at around 99%. Some slight and minor surface age marks as seen in images. Never Carried or sharpened.
Good snap, good unsharpened blades, excellent handle.
