Puma Knife: Puma 1988 model 765 Setter Folding Knife with Jacaranda Handle
Rare and excellent condition 1988 PUMA Model 220 765 Setter Folding Knife with genuine Jacaranda handle.
Beautiful Puma Setter 765, part of the Sporting GunDog collection and handmade in 1988.
The Puma knife model is 765. This model is part of the sporting dog series by Puma. The handle also has an inlaid brass Puma round shield. The guarantee control number is 22881.
This indicates this knife was handmade at Puma Werks in Solingen, Germany in the 1st half of 1988 and it is currently 38 years old.
This is your chance to own a great piece of Puma cutlery history. The blade is German 440C stainless steel and the handles are genuine hardwood. The bolsters are German satin brass.
This knife measures 7 3/8" overall with a 3" blade.
The knife is 4 1/8" long when closed.
The blade is etched with: 220 765 HANDMADE - PUMA SETTER - GERMANY STAINLESS.
The knife includes the "Puma Proof Mark" on the blade: a small dot or ping one side of the blade was made with a diamond pointed needle, part of the Rockwell blade quality testing.
The Rockwell sticker is also on the blade.
This Puma knife was hand made at Puma Werks in Solingen Germany. It is truly a beautiful Puma knife that is made to the the highest quality in Solingen Germany.
97-98% Mint condition, knife opens and closes with good snap and no wobble. It has a few light storage/age marks on the Bolsters which can be seen in the detailed images which could possibly be polished out but we have left it in untouched condition.

It is in overall Excellent condition and very rare.
Made in 1988, now in 2026, it is 38 years of age and an absolute beauty and rarity.
