Excellent condition, unused and unsharpened 1969 Original best White Hunter 6399 with lovely lighter Jacaranda handle and original sheath.

Model 6399 in excellent and unused condition.
Date Stamp is 96744 which means it was made in the 4th Qtr of 1969
1969 model and made with the famous Pumaster Steel.
Stamped on the blade is 6399 PUMA WHITE HUNTER GENUINE PUMASTER STEEL W.GERMANY
For the age of 53+ years, it is a great example of this sought after knife with just a few age marks on the hilt and tiny scratches as can be seen in the detailed images.
Overall blade length is 10 5/8", with original Pumaster Stainless steel. 6" blade.
Full tang. Built-in alloy finger guard. Lanyard hole. Handmade in Solingen, Germany.
No cracks or marks on the nice light colour Jacaranda Handle.
Sheath is really nice condition with all stitching intact and it has the Puma Emblem embossed on the front and it has the Puma Head on the securing Stud. It has just a few age marks.
Excellent example of a very collectable 1969 Pumaster Steel Puma White Hunter and ideal for the person wanting to actually use one of these beauties or a great example to start a collection.
The PUMA White Hunter model was developed in 1956 in conjunction with the East African Professional Hunter’s Association to be the leading knife for big game hunting.
The Puma White Hunter, introduced in 1956, was in production for Eight years before the introduction of the Puma control number system. This number, a.k.a. Production Code or Date Code was introduced in the 4th Quarter of 1964 to assist PUMA with quality control and product improvement processes.
The White Hunter is the knife that made PUMA famous in the hunting knife market. It also earned them international recognition as a premier maker of quality production knives. This recognition promoted rapid growth in exports. One of there largest markets was the United States.
