Puma Knife: Puma Original 1970 ALLWECK-MESSER 6399 White Hunter in original sheath
Excellent almost mint example of an Original PUMA Allzweck-messer (All-Purpose) best White Hunter 6399 with lovely Jacaranda hard wood handle and original sheath.

Model 6399 in excellent condition almost mint for age.
Date code is: 44074 and was made in the 4th Qtr of 1970 with the famous Pumaster Steel.
Stamped on the blade is 6399 PUMA WHITE HUNTER GENUINE PUMASTER STEEL W-GERMANY
In original leather sheath with Puma Emblem and Puma Head Studs on the rivets.
In excellent unused condition for an age of 52 years, it is unused and untouched with a very sharp edge.
Overall blade length is 10 5/8", with original Pumaster Stainless steel. 6" blade.
Full tang. Built-in alloy finger guard. Lanyard hole. Handmade in Solingen, Germany.
No cracks or marks on the nice fat Jacaranda Handle.
Sheath is really nice condition with all stitching intact and it has the Puma Emblem embossed on the front and it has the Puma Heads on the Studs. There are a couple of minor age marks and thats it.

The PUMA White Hunter model was developed in 1956 in conjunction with the East African Professional Hunter’s Association to be the leading knife for big game hunting.
The Puma White Hunter, introduced in 1956, was in production for Eight years before the introduction of the Puma control number system. This number, a.k.a. Production Code or Date Code was introduced in the 4th Quarter of 1964 to assist PUMA with quality control and product improvement processes.
The White Hunter is the knife that made PUMA famous in the hunting knife market. It also earned them international recognition as a premier maker of quality production knives. This recognition promoted rapid growth in exports. One of there largest markets was the United States.
