This is a very rare model as it has the usual Puma markings on one side and in Gold Writing on the other side it has the words: 'MOUNTAIN LION'. We have only come across one of these before and we are not sure of the history of why there are so few but this model is very rare.
Comes in one of the older style Yellow Box with Green Plastic Lid.
Model 3573 Boot Knife.
Date Code on the knife is: 34873 which means it was made in the 3rd Quarter of 1978 and is currently 45 years old and 99.5% mint unused condition.
Overall blade length is 4 1/2", and full length is approx 8" with Puma Solingen Made in Germany Rostfrei Handerbeit Bestell-NR 3573 stamped on the blade with a Rockwell Hardness Test: 55-57 HRC. Full tang.
Comes with original Boot Knife leather sheath with with Clip on reverse

This knife is 45 years old and is in excellent and mint condition for age and would be best described as an original knife in 99.5% condition.
The knife has not been used and has not been sharpened. It is in overall excellent condition with a good edge and no chips etc in the blade. It has been left in original condition for the Puma Collector.
The beautiful Sambar Antler handle is in great shape as are the rivets with no dings, dents ,scuffs etc.
The leather Boot sheath is in excellent condition and unmarked Stainless metal Clip.
Lovely solid and aged Sambar Deer Antler Handle which is a nice even thickness.
A fine example of a rare model 3573 which are proving ever harder to get and a lovely 45 year old Original Puma Boot Knife to have in the collection.
