Very rare and original PUMA 1967 Right Right Hand model Trappers Companion with genuine staghorn handle. Model 11 6385 made in 1st Qtr 1968 and in almost mint condition and in original Tan leather sheath.

Model Number 11 6385 with date stamp of 86581 being made in the 1st Qtr 1968

Overall length is 21.5cm with an original High Carbon Steel upswept blade of 11cm.

Full tang. Built-in finger guard. Lanyard hole.  Handmade in Solingen, Germany.

The Knife is in absolute mint condition and quite possibly the best example of this model we have come across with not a mark on it. Writting is complete and it has a beautiful even Stag Handle which was hand finished. No cracks or chips to the handle and it has a nice rich colour with fit to handle almost perfect.

The sheath is in overall excellent condition with all stitching and studs in perfect order and a nice embossed Puma Logo on the front and the correct Puma stamps on the reverse. It has a nice rich Tan Brown colour. It has a few age marks which you woul expect for a knife that is already 55 years old.

It has had a slight repair to the bottom of the sheath which has been well repaired and maintains its full integrity. We have seen this on several Trappers Companions sheathes and generally it happens as the blade has such an upward sweep that if the knife is not correctly returned to the sheath, the blade slits straight through the leather which is a common issue and spare sheathes are near on impossible to find these days.

Apart from this, I would say that this is the best example of this model knife we have seen and would be a beauty in the avid PUMA collection.
