New old stock and wow these Kizlyar knives are what you want going in to battle.
All hand made and cheaper than some useless production knives on the market from China today.
This was one of the first to come in to the country and is now a very sought after and hard to get model.
Please Note: *As all hand made knives are finished differently, this blade has been blued and shows different consistency on the blade which is a natural part of the Bluing process. It comes with a leather sheath and due to the nature of Leather, there are a few minor Storage marks on the Sheath as can be seen in the detailed images.
All the original Russian Kizlyar Military knives were stamped so that Putin could keep a check on where they were going and we are lucky enough to find a few left over in our stock room.

DV-2 - ДВ-2 - unique survival knife for the Russian special forces.
The DV knife was developed in cooperation with the Far East Special Forces "Dalnyo - Vostochnyj Spetsnaz". From there abbreviation - the name of the knife DV.
New but older stock and never been sharpened or out of its sheath. It is unused, and this is one of the beautiful original Russian hand made Kizlyar knives that first came in to the country about 12-15 years ago.
It is an original and at the time only numbered knives were allowed to come out of Russia.

The knife also comes with a high quality plain Black leather sheath.
The DV-2 is the actual Spetsnaz issue type and we get them only if there is Surplus left over from the military orders.
This version of the knife comes with a very classic Caucasian Walnut handle.
ABOUT DV-2
DV-2 - “Dalnya-Vostorchny Spetsnaz”, an acronym for a special purpose unit within the Russian military, whose operational role mainly encompasses the form of a “mobility troop” type, being LRRP (long range reconnaissance patrol) and counter-insurgency operations. This model of knife was designed by the unit and was subsequently made to their specifications. Their requirement was that their knife should be of the extreme hard use type, able to be used for the majority of tasks associated with living off the land deep behind enemy lines or in a frozen Siberian wasteland. If you purchase this knife from Kizlyar we strongly recommend that you buy more than one, you will need to after your friends “relieve” you of the knife if you show it off to them. What can we say, it will make your colleagues green with envy. This, we believe, is one of the finest production knives money can buy today, but not only is it functional, it is also a work of art. Featuring a hand ground, blackened z60 steel blade, a 40x13 stainless steel pommel / guard and a hand shaped / polished walnut handle, make this knife a real show-stopper. Each knife is completely hand made and no two are totally alike. Not only is the knife a fine knife to observe, it is also a fine knife to use. The 235mm long x 5.2mm thick blade serves well in any task you need to execute. Be it chopping, slicing, slashing, carving, food preparation, processing meat and game animals. It is the ultimate in heavy duty, general purpose knives and can be used as such. It is not recommended that a knife be used for tasks other that cutting but in the event of an emergency, this knife can double as a pry-bar and axe (through the use of the chopping edge along the spine of the blade). This is one knife that can be used and used and used until you are too old to use it any more and when you pass it on to the next member of your family, it will outlast them as well. A beautiful, heavy, handmade leather sheath accompanies this knife with the purchase.
