Genuine Sheffield made J.Nowill & Sons Silver Bladed Commando Knife.

J. Adams Ltd is a family business based in Sheffield England which has been making quality knives for six generations; they are the parent company for three other old established manufacturers F.E & J.R.Hopkinson Ltd, established 14 June 1944, John Nowill & Sons Ltd, whose corporate name was granted by the Cutlers Company of Hallamshire on 27 April 1700 A.D. and Austin McGillivray & Co.

The original Fairbairn Sykes knife was developed during World War II, when Wilkinson Sword collaborated with Capt. William E Fairbairn and Capt. Eric A Sykes to design a knife for the newly formed British Commando Force. Commonly known as the 'Commando Knife', this knife was arguably the most famous knife of the 20th century.

  • 12" overall. 7" mirror finish carbon steel dagger blade.
  • Black knurled cast alloy metal handle cross guard and pommel.
  • Cross guard is stamped "J.NOWILL & SONS SHEFFIELD ENGLAND" with military stamps on other side.
  • Comes in original style Leather and metal ended sheath
