Puma Knife: Puma Original Lightly Used 1977 AUTO-MESSER 6390 White Hunter in original sheath
Carefully and gently used and still great condition for age Original PUMA Auto-messer (All-Purpose Car Knife) best White Hunter 6390 with lovely Jacaranda hard wood handle and original sheath.

Model 6390 in great lightly 'USED' condition for age.
Date code is: 83774 and was made in the 4th Qtr of 1977 with the famous Pumaster Steel.
Stamped on the blade is 6390 AUTO MESSER PUMA ALLZWECK-MESSER D.B.G.M GERMANY
In original leather sheath with Puma Emblem and Puma Head Stud on the securing rivet.
In excellent lightly sharpened, used condition.
For the age of 45 years, it is a great knife albeit it is lightly used and sharpened and it has a very sharp edge.
Overall blade length is 10 5/8", with original Pumaster Stainless steel. 6" blade.
Full tang. Built-in alloy finger guard. Lanyard hole. Handmade in Solingen, Germany.
No cracks or marks on the nice fat Jacaranda Handle.
Sheath is really nice condition with all stitching intact and it has the Puma Emblem embossed on the front and it has the Puma Head on the securing Stud.
There are a few minor age marks on the blade and it has been lightly sharpened. (Very Sharp)
Excellent example of a very collectable 1977 Pumaster Steel Puma Allzweck-messer (All-Purpose) best White Hunter and ideal for the person wanting to actually use one of these beauties and not just put it in the cupbard and collect. (not that there is anything wrong with that)
The PUMA White Hunter model was developed in 1956 in conjunction with the East African Professional Hunter’s Association to be the leading knife for big game hunting.
The Puma White Hunter, introduced in 1956, was in production for Eight years before the introduction of the Puma control number system. This number, a.k.a. Production Code or Date Code was introduced in the 4th Quarter of 1964 to assist PUMA with quality control and product improvement processes.
The White Hunter is the knife that made PUMA famous in the hunting knife market. It also earned them international recognition as a premier maker of quality production knives. This recognition promoted rapid growth in exports. One of there largest markets was the United States.
