This is a 1957 almost mint condition model 11 3591 Gamekeeper knife with original Dark Forest Green Leather Sheath and original Booklet with description, full information of Puma Knives available at the time, Hunting seasons in Germany and calendar from 1957 and 1958.

The knife features a 5'' fixed blade that is marked PUMA-WERK SOLINGEN MADE IN GERMANY HANDARBEIT BESTELL NO. 3591.

The other side of the blade is also marked "ORIGINAL WAIDMELLER FUR SCHALENWILD". Roughly translated meaning Waid knife for Deer and more popularily known as the 'Gamekeeper knife'

The knife also features TWO folding blades (bone saw & skinning) along with a folding corkscrew. There is also a MARKED. 800 SILVER shield inlaid into one of the STAG side plates.CONDITION: Almost perfect for age.

The Sheath is original with some wear and slight nick on the clasp but very good condition for a 63 year old knife.

The booklet again is in original condition and features full information of Puma Knives available at the time, Hunting seasons in Germany and calendar from 1957 and 1958.

A real collectable Knife no longer available from Puma Germany and one of the best Puma Knives in the range.

There is no date stamp on the knife and the attached original calendar relates to 1957-1958 so we can only assume that it was made and released in 1957.

It is in almost mint and unused condition, no marks, dings etc and is unsharpened and never been used.

Note: these knives are wholly made in Germany are very rare and collectable.
