This is a genuine Ken Richardson skinner which has a 10.5cm Drop Point blade and is approximately 23cm in overall length.

This is a unique knife and is very collectable as well as being a good all round hunting, skinning, utility knife.

The blade is 3/32" thick, jeweled and hollow ground. This thickness makes for a much more serviceable edge. The steel is a high-carbon blue tempered 1085 spring steel. The high carbon allows for edge-holding ability at a low temper and makes sharpening easy with a stone, steel or ceramic stick.

The handle is from Burl Cherry wood which is a hard wood with a lot of natural oil that resists the elements. The handle is approximately 12cm long and fits nicely in the hand. It has a straight ambidextrous handle.

The sheath is handmade and is a pouch style sheath made from 11 oz. Herman Oak leather, then tooled and laced by hand with heavy latigo lacing. The leather is tanned with salt-free solutions to avoid rusting of the blade.

Ken Richardson has been making knives since 1977 and is widely known for his high quality knives. The knife and sheath are made by hand without any use of aids or jigs and each is unique and has its own character.
