GERBER USA FAIRBAIRN/APPLEGATE 'COMBAT' Folder in Pouch
This is a slightly older and mint Large GERBER USA Fairbairn/Applegate Combat Folding knife in original Gerber Pouch.

This is the first one of these we have had in 15 years so be quick to grab it.
This is a genuine USA made Gerber large Combat Folding knife with a a brushed steel blade (others on the market now have a black blade and are not made in the USA).
Steel is ATS-34.
Fully made in the USA.
Stamped on one side of the blade is: COMBAT FOLDER
Stamped on the other side of the blade is: GERBER USA and the signatures of Applegate and Fairbairn.
Never used, carried or sharpened.
In mint collectable condition with just a couple of tiny age marks on the Gerber Pouch as can be seen in the detailed images.
This one is a rarity a great collectable piece for the genuine USA made Gerber knives.

As legacies go, a man could do worse than being survived by the famous knife he designed. Such is the case with the late Colonel Rex Applegate.
