Puma Rare Model 970 Plainsman (Game Warden) 1970 Folding Lock Knife Serial # 11071

This is a 'LIGHTLY USED' but rare Plainsman Model 970 Lock Blade folding knife

The Puma Plainsman was first made in 1965 and Changed the name in late 1969. Puma changed the name to "Game Warden" with the same model number, 970. 

Serial No. 11071 Which means it was made in the 1st half of 1970

Stamped on one side of the blade:

970 PUMA-PLAINSMAN NEW STAINLESS SUPER KEEN CUTTING STEEL HANDMADE GERMANY 
Condition : Excellent for age with some slight age marks as seen in images and it has been very lightly sharpened with a tiny wobble when open.

Good snap, good lightly sharpened blade, excellent nicely grained handle.

We are unsure what wood the handle is made from but it is beautiful Jacaranda or Rosewood.
Made by Puma Germany in 1970.

A very rare knife with the Plainsman and Game Warden becoming very popular.
