Puma made 3,600 knives: 2,100 with a detailed image of the Luger Pistol on an oval inlay and 1,500 with an inlay of the 9mm Luger Cartridge.
This is the one with the Luger Pistol inlay.

The blade front is etched in gold - 1900-1974 Luger Pistole 08.

The blade front is identified with , A.G. Russell , Ark. 72764 and the back with - Puma , Germany , Stainless.

The Bolster has the Serial Number 01151.

In 1973, for the CM-3, the Luger Pistol, The German Baron whose family had owned the Puma Cutlery Company for over 100 years decided to make this commemorative knife. They made 3,600 knives: 2,100 with a detailed image of the Luger Pistol on an oval inlay and 1,500 with an inlay of the 9mm Luger Cartridge. The knife is a 3-3/4" closed Wharncliffe Jack with a 2-7/8" blade of the same non-stainless steel that made PUMA of the 1970s the envy of the knife world. Every blade has a gold etch. The obverse tang is marked "A. G. Russell, CM-3 Luger Pistol Made by Puma in 1973-74 ARK 72764" in two lines and the reverse tang is marked "PUMA, Germany, Stainless" in three lines.

This has a really nice lighter Sambar Deer Antler Handle.

The Puma 1974 9mm Bullet Commemorative Knife with Stag Handles.
This is numbered 1053 with only 1500 of these ever made.

The 1053 number looks like 1853 but their is a line across the 0 which makes it look like an 8.

Both have great snap and I would put them at around 98-99% Mint

They are well put together with the Luger Knife having a nice light stag Antler Handle and the 9mm Bullet Knife having a completely different darker Sambar Deer Antler Handle

Not 100% sure if they are the correct numbered boxes but they are in genuine Puma Germany stamped Boxes for this size of knife.

Puma Large Carving Knife with Deer Scene on blade, Meat Fork Game/Meat Shears, Sharpening Rod.

'From my own personal Puma collection and in 98-99% mint unused condition in original box and one of the best you will find'.

Circa 1950's

All in almost mint unused, unsharpened condition Put at 98-99% mint as there are just a few age marks which would be expected for a 70+ year old set.

1. Knife is unused and unsharpened and mint condition.

Stamped on the Blade is the PUMA logo and SOLINGEN ROSTREI MADE IN GERMANY with a nice Red Deer Stag standing in a forest scene. Lovely Fat deep coloured one piece Deer Antler Handle with Silver Nickel Cap.

Overall length is 32cm with an 18.5cm blade which is 2.5cm wide.

2. Puma Roast Meat 2 Prong Fork has a lovely fat one piece curved Red Deer Antler handle with Silver Nickel Cap and again almost mint condition.

Overall length is 27cm long with a 11cm Handle 

3. Puma Game/Meat Shears which are unused and very tight with a lock to hold them closed and again with fat Red Deer Antler handles with Nickel Silver Caps. L&S stamp on Shears 

Overall length is approx 28cm long with a 11cm razor sharp cutting blades. Full Tang construction with Deer Antler Handle which are resin glued.

All Carvery items are unused and in almost mint condition.

These are presented in the original Brown snake skin effect Box with Red satin lining which is also in excellent condition with just one chip and piece missing from one corner. It also has the Puma Gold label on the front top of box. 

A lovely 4 piece dinner set. As the Carving set is circa 1950's and all 4 pieces have genuine Stag Antler Handles, we would not suggest washing them in a modern dishwasher and they should be hand washed only.

Original NEW STAINLESS SUPER KEEN CUTTING STEEL

Date Code on the knife is:40482 (Made 2nd Half 1984)

Overall length is 9 1/2", with a 5 1/8" polished German steel upswept blade.

German steel blade. Full Tang. Polished Aluminum Finger Guard. Genuine Sambar Stag Handle. Comes with original Tan brown leather belt sheath with Puma Emblem on front Stud.

Entire knife is Handmade in Germany and are getting more scarce in this condition

CONDITION: (Forming part of the description with the images.)

This knife is an original Skinner knife from 1984 and is 39 years old and around 99%

It has not been sharpened and is a nicely polished blade as can be seen in the images with blade writing in perfect condition. There are no nicks etc in the blade.

There are just a couple of tiny marks on the Alloy hilt which can be seen in the detailed images and would polish out but we have left it in untouched condition.

It also has its original Cardboard sleeve. (It has a few storage marks as can be seen)

The sheath is original and in mint condition with nice Puma Stud with all stitching and rivets in place. The knife has never been in the sheath.

The box which is correctly numbered and original is in good condition has just a few minor age marks. It also has the original Green/Black Label PUMA 6393 SKINNER

The handle is made from a nicely figured Sambar Deer in accordance with what was available at the time and the overall condition of the knife is excellent.

A really good opportunity to pick up an almost mint condition Skinner in original box with all the extras.

It also has its original Plastic Box. (It has a few storage marks as can be seen)

The sheath is original and in almost mint condition with nice Puma Stud with all stitching and rivets in place. The knife looks to have been in the sheath but no wear.

Puma model 12 6010 Skinmaster with Ebony wooden handle in original box with correct warranty and original sharpening instructions.

This is the highly sort after and rare Hardwood handle model and good all around knife with only one currently available.

The integral design means it is very difficult to produce being completely out of just one piece of Steel.

Handle on these knives is usually Stag Antler but this model 12 6010 has a beautiful dark brown wooden handle. 

It has an Ebony Exotic wood handle 

It comes in the original correct wooden box with leather sheath included and correct warranty card.

This one was made in 1990 with the date stamp of 46092 (2nd half of 1990)

Older circa 1990's Puma Bantam twin blade pocket knife with Red Bone Handle.

Beautiful little twin blade knife with lovely aged Red Bone Handle.

Measures 3 1/2" when closed. It has two blades: a 2-3/4" spearpoint and a 1 3/4" spey blade.

Closes nice and crisply. Nice figured jigged Red Bone, no cracks, chips etc. Mint unused unsharpened condition.

Both blades are forged from D1.4 Cutlery Stainless Steel, which has a Rockwell Hardness of 57-59.

Stamped on the main blade is: 480673 PUMA GERMANY HANDMADE BANTAM STAINLESS.

Mint unused condition. No date stamp on this knife which suggests it was made in the mid to late 1990's

These blades are tough and hold up well under repeated use and will not need to be sharpened frequently. The handle is made from Jigged Red Bone, making the Puma Bantam attractive and easy to hold. Great rabbit knife.

Almost Mint condition Puma 1992 Original Bowie knife in original  Green and Yellow Plastic box, matching warranty card, paper work and original receipt from 1996.

Rare and very hard to find Model Number 11 6396 in this beautiful condition.

Puma Original Bowie number 48292 (Made 2nd Half 1992)

Puma Stag Original Bowie Knife. 11" overall length with a 6 3/8" German original steel blade. Full Tang. Polished Aluminum Finger Guard. Genuine Sambar Stag Handle. Comes with original Tan brown leather belt sheath with Puma Emblem on front. Entire knife is Handmade in Germany and is very rare.

CONDITION: (Forming part of the description with the images.)

This knife is an original Steel Bowie knife from 1992 and is in almost mint condition for 30+ year old knife.

Totally unused, unsharpened and untouched.

There are no nicks etc in the blade and it has never been out of the box, the sheath is in excellent condition as is the box which is original and has the original model number warranty label.

The handle is a nice dark Sambar Deer in accordance with what was available at the time and the overall condition of the knife is almost mint.

The sheath has a couple of tiny marks on the front which can be seen in the detailed images and the correct box label is slightly torn giving it our score of 99.5% mint.

It has the matching warranty card, sharpening instructions and full receipt from Smith's Sports Store George Street the Sydney Australian Retailer and it was first purchased in 1996 and it was a top price then for a quality knife.

You would be very hard pushed to find a knife of this age in this condition.

An absolute Beauty.

Handmade German Puma knife designed by the designer R.Hehn.

Beautiful and original knife with the original wooden box.

The knives are no longer serial numbered after approx 2005 and now just have a date stamp on the blade with this one being 2008

This is a superb and almost mint knife and comes with saddle leather sheath and is in its original wooden dovetailed box

Puma Large Carving Knife with Deer Scene on blade, Meat Fork and Game/Meat Shears.

'From my own personal Puma collection and in 99% mint unused condition in original box and one of the best you will find'.

Circa 1950's

All in almost mint unused, unsharpened condition Put at 99% mint as there are just a few age marks which would be expected for a 70+ year old set.

1. Knife is unused and unsharpened and mint condition. The Puma sharpening instructions are also included.

Stamped on the Blade is the PUMA logo and STAINLESS SOLINGEN GERMANY with a nice Red Deer Stag standing in a forest scene. Lovely Fat deep coloured one piece Deer Antler Handle with Silver Nickel Cap.

Overall length is 32cm with an 18.5cm blade which is 2.5cm wide.

2. Puma Roast Meat 2 Prong Fork has a lovely fat one piece curved Red Deer Antler handle with Silver Nickel Cap and again almost mint condition.

Overall length is 28cm long with a 12cm Handle 

3. Puma Game/Meat Shears which are unused and very tight with a lock to hold them closed and again with fat Red Deer Antler handles with Nickel Silver Caps. L&S stamp on Shears 

Overall length is approx 28cm long with a 11cm razor sharp cutting blades. Full Tang construction with Deer Antler Handle which are resin glued.

All items are unused.

These are presented in the original Green with green satin lining box which is also mint condition and has the Puma Gold label on the front top of box. 

A lovely 3 piece dinner set. As the Carving set is circa 1950's and all 3 pieces have genuine Stag Antler Handles, we would not suggest washing them in a modern dishwasher and they should be hand washed only.

The PUMA White Hunter model was developed in 1956 in conjunction with the East African Professional Hunter’s Association to be the leading knife for big game hunting.

The Puma White Hunter, introduced in 1956,  was in production for Eight years before the introduction of the Puma control number system. This number, a.k.a. Production Code or Date Code was introduced in the 4th Quarter of 1964 to assist PUMA with quality control and product improvement processes. 

The White Hunter is the knife that made PUMA famous in the hunting knife market. It also earned them international recognition as a premier maker of quality production knives. This recognition promoted rapid growth in exports. One of there largest markets was the United States.

Rare and almost mint Puma 14 0215 Silver Lion Collectable Fixed Blade Knife with Deer Antler Handle, sheath and Black Box

This knife was fully made in Germany circa 1990's but there is no date stamp on the knife.

From records, Puma.de stopped making these knives in the mid 1990's and last available in the 1996 catalogue so as far as we can see, it was produced between 1993 and 1996. 

Now no longer available from Puma Germany so very collectable.

It is in almost mint condition, no marks, dings etc and is unsharpened and never been used but has a couple of marks near the tip of the cutting edge of the blade.

These would polish out but we have decided to keep the knife in unmolested condition for the collector.

The Stag Antler Handle is yellowing nicely with age which some collectors like and it is a great knife at around the 30 year old mark.

It has a modern Puma.de Tan Brown Leather belt Sheath

Box is an original Puma German Box but the label could be incorrect as it is written in.

Beautiful old stock Puma Silver Lion #11 0215. Fixed blade hunter, handmade in Germany by Puma Knife works. Blade has the following etching.

Model Number 11 6398 Hunters Friend with date stamp of 98474 being made in the 4th Qtr of 1974

Age and sharpening marks on the full tang blade as can be seen in the images and some superficial age marks near the Bolster. These would polish out but we have left it as is for the avid Puma collector.

The Blade stamping is no longer visible on the blade and this would be a good usable knife with no chips etc in the blade and it holds close to its original shape.

Blade has been lightly sharpened and knife is in good undamaged and good condition for age (currently 49 years old)

This knife is over 48 years old and is in great condition for age and would be best described as an original knife in very good to excellent condition.

The knife has not been used and has not been sharpened. It is in ovearl very good condition with a good edge and no chips etc in the blade. It has very minor surface rust/tarnish on the very edge of the cutting edge which can be seen in the images and a couple of superficial marks and has been left in original condition for the Puma Collector. The beautiful Sambar Antler handle is in great shape as are the rivets.

The leather sheath is in excellent condition with the stitching intact and lovely silver metalwork at each end.

Model 13 6369. 'SKIPPER'

Date stamp on the knife is 45874 and it was produced in the 4th Qtr of 1978.

This item is in almost Mint Condition. A very fine 'Skipper' knife which is typically a Diver model with a leg sheath. For a very brief period, the Capri and Skipper were made into a Boat version with the plastic sheath. The sheath would attach to a bulkhead or console in the boat.  Later, it became a boat accessory and a divers knife. This is an exceptionally nice model and one for the collector.

Overall length is 28.5cm, with 15.5cm special D1.4116 steel blade

Rockwell Hardness Test: 55-57 HRC. Half tang. Built-in finger guard. Lanyard hole.

Comes with Black Puma Deck Sheath and original Puma Sharpening instructions.

This is an almost mint Condition knife unsharpened and unused

Model 13 6369 'Skipper' White Hunter and now quite rare and collectable.

One side of the blade is stamped with the Puma Logo and written; 6369 HANDMADE GERMANY PUMA SKIPPER NEW STAINLESS SUPER KEEN CUTTING STEEL .

It has a Hard Black Plastic anti slip handle.

*The diving knife "Capri" was only on sale for a short time in the late 70's to mid-80s and therefore the number of copies in circulation is very small. The Capri of his time was delivered with a plastic sheath from the manufacturer NEMROD, which was attached to the side of the calf with two strong rubber leg straps. Very few models were delivered with a plastic sheath without manufacturer information, where the shape of the sheath and the leg straps are completely different. The Capri is made up of the stainless blade of the White Hunter and a plastic handle like the one found on the Tunny.

The Skipper is the same knife as the Capri and was sold at the same time, but was delivered with the well-known plastic holder for the Boat or Car knife and thus served as a practical "boat knife".

It is a much rarer knife than the CAPRI and they seldom come up for sale.

An older 1979 model 113587 Jagdnicker with New Dark Forest Green Leather Sheath and New Puma Box, and now no longer available from Puma Germany so very collectable.

It is in around 96-98% mint condition, with a couple of minor age marks as can be seen in the two final images which would possibly polish out but we have decided to leave it in unmolested condition.

There are no other marks, dings etc and it is unsharpened and has never been used.

Used Puma Hunters Pal Made in 1982 with a date stamp of 27282.

Made in the 2nd half of 1982 and now 38 years old.

Original condition with mainly surface tarnishing and the knife is in pretty good overall condition and would make a nice usable and older Puma Hunting Knife.

Stamped on the blade is:

6397 HANDMADE PUMA HUNTER'S PAL GENUINE-PUMASTER -STEEL-GERMANY with the Puma Logo and on the brass guard is the serial number : 27282

Puma Stag Original Hunters Pal Knife.  German Stainless steel blade. Full Tang. Polished brass Finger Guard. Genuine Sambar Stag Handle. Comes with the original Puma Brown Leather Hand Made belt Sheath with studs, fastening and stitching all intact.

It also has the Puma Head on the studs and Puma Head Logo embossed on the front of the sheath and comes complete with the matching warranty card

This knife is an original Stainless Steel Hunters Pal knife from 1982 and is currently 38 years old and excellent condition for an older knife this age. It has been very lightly sharpened and has a few light tarnish marks on the blade which can be seen in the detailed images.

These would polish out but we have decided to keep it in untouched original condition for the Puma collector.

There are no nicks etc in the blade, the sheath is brand new condition.

A great, older usable knife and what is good about it is the excellent condition sheath and matching warranty card that matches the knife. (These two on their own now fetch nearly as much as this knife sheath warranty)

Ivory Micarta handle has been painstakingly scrimshaw painted by the renowned miniature Game painting artist Arno Hopp.

Designed to remind the viewer of painted Ivory the design features a pair of African Cape Buffalo in a Game Scene in amongst the African scrub trees. The Puma Mountain Lion is the symbol for the Puma German Knife brand.

The knife scales have been painted on one side with the Puma Game Scene and signed on the other side by Arno Hopp.

Mirror finish blade stamped with the Puma Logo set this masterpiece off.

This knife measures 7 3/4" overall with a 3 1/4" blade. The blade is etched: 777 PUMA SPORT - NEW STAINLESS SUPER KEEN CUTTING STEEL. PUMA GERMANY STAINLESS 22881.

The reverse of the blade is etched PAT.PEND 

Etching on the Blade is Full & Clear with the Rockwell sticker & diamond mark.

This is the 'Bicentenaire de la Revolution' (Bicentennial of the Revolution) 1789-1989

Beautiful Puma Custom 985 design handmade in 1989 and an integral knife design

The steel part of the handle is an integral one piece design made completely from stainless steel, no bolsters or liners. New Customs are nickel silver which are much easier to manufacture. Scales are Ebony Exotic hard wood.

Comes with original and correct wooden dovetail joint box with foam lining.
