Brand new, unsharpened and unused, this is one of the beautiful original Russian hand made plain blade SH5 Kizlyar knives that first came in to the country about 10-12 years ago.

This one is also numbered #1114 as at the time Putin only allowed knives out of Russia if they were numbered to keep track of where they were going. This one came directly from Kizlyar Russia to Australia.

Beautiful design and construction this hand made knife is an absolute beauty. 

The Kizlyar SH-5 knife is based on a traditional form of Russian hunting knife with a mix of traditional Caucasian elements and modern day materials. This model, has a blade of a traditional Russian pattern with a clip point, a long false edge that terminates into an un-swept tip.

A handle of stacked and compressed leather washers is hand shaped and polished to a high lustre. The pommel is threaded and therefore is screwed to the tang and can be adjusted accordingly by tightening a nut on the pommel cap.

This knife comes with an embossed, black leather sheath.

NB: Please note, this is one of the older first in the country Kizlyar knives and is quite collectable.

It has never been used or sharpened and is in excellent condition. The Black Leather handle and sheath have a few scuff marks pertaining to age and handling as seen in the images which would come out with leather conditioning but we have decided to keep it as original condition.
