CASE USA 1836 Davey Crocket Commemorative Bowie with Leather and Brass Sheath

Vintage CASE XX USA, Davy Crocket commemorative Bowie.

This is a genuine USA made Case XX knife and is a reproduction of the knife they made during WWII, and features an etching of Davy Crocket on the blade.

This knife is in as-new condition but because it has a mirror finish blade, does show a few age marks as seen in the images.

It has never been carried or sharpened and would make an excellent collectable knife or present for the budding Davey Crocket.

It features the Case name with the double XX USA 1836 on the blade.

W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company is an American manufacturer of premium, hand-crafted knives that are passed down for generations.

The company’s roots extend back to 1889, when the Case brothers, William Russell, Jean, John and Andrew Case  began selling cutlery from the back of a wagon in various small western New York villages.......

By the time the company moved to Bradford, Pennsylvania in 1905, the four Case brothers had established their brands.
The company's namesake, William Russell Case, first incorporated the company under the name, Case Brothers Cutlery Company...... His son, John Russell Case, worked as a salesman for his father's company before founding W.R. Case & Sons.

This piece is an early "Case XX" 1836 bowie knife

The knife was made as a reproduction of the one Case made during WWII.
It is a massive knife, measuring nearly 15" long with a  9 1/2" stainless steel blade, which features an etching of  Davey Crocket, the famous Frontiersman and later Politician

It comes complete with the original black leather and brass sheath and is a very big wieldy knife you would expect an Icon like Davey Crocket to carry.
