German Knife: *1930's-70's Axe and Knife Combo in Leather American Indian Chief Head Sheath

Vintage German ELOSI DBGM Tool Kit Belt Sheath KNIFE Axe HAMMER set original WWII Era German Eloisi combo tool & Knife Brand: Elosi (Ernst Lohr & Otto Stiehl) Made in: Solingen, Germany.

*Now, here is the interesting part, the internet and information we can find all say these sets were made in the 1930's and are WW II Era. But the handle on the knife is a Plastic slab handle made to look like Deer Antler so we are at a loss as to dating this set as it looks like it is more like made in the 1970's. (But we are no experts and will stand to be corrected)

This one is in near new condition.

It has a cast metal Axe with Hammer on the opposite side of the Axe Head and at the base of the Axe Head, it has a Nail Puller and at the other end of the wood and metal axe handle it has a a flat head Screw Driver. The Axe is in unused condition with a few age marks and has a slight bend in it which we think is deliberate and to fit to the sheath and waist/leg in a comfortable position.

Overall length of the Axe: 9". It is stamped on one side D.G.M.Nr.5664-87 and Germany on the other side.

The Knife is a typical German Camp style pattern and is 8.5" long with a 4 3/4" Blade.

It is in original factory sharpened finish with a few age marks and has Solingen Germany stamped on the blade.

The Handle is made from two pieces of Plastic made to look like Deer Antler and it has a Brass Guard. (The handle slabs are loose and so is the guard but we have left it in untouched original condition)

The sheath is Tan Leather, embossed with a Profile of a Native American Indian Chief on the front and is in excellent unused condition with all stitching, Rivets etc in perfect condition and no age marks on the sheath. The press studs are perfect and the sheath holds both the knife at the front and the Axe at the back  which are secured by a stud fastening for the knife and a flap and stud for the Axe.

Images form part of the description and show the actual Axe/Knife Combo set and only one available.

Made in Germany in the early 1930's-70's ?

This set was wholly made in Germany and is rare.

Would make a nice talking piece or in a collection of German made knives and Axes.
