Milly (aka Wrangham Jane Eyre) entered her first Spaniel field trial at Bathurst on Saturday 26 July. The trial was organised by Sporting Spaniel Association of NSW. There were a total of 8 English Springer Spaniels, and the Open and Novice field trials were held concurrently under two judges. Milly came first in the novice trial, which moved her up to the open category in her next WGAA field trial. She crashed through Brambles and Blackberry bushes in her attempts to flush out rabbits. She had such a ball but had lots of battle wounds and scratches, including swollen eyes, to show for.
